Dear Friend,

This year has been like no other in our lifetime. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be at the forefront of all our minds so it is only after very careful consideration, and planning with the team at Virgin Limited, that we have decided to move forward with this year’s Necker Cup, November 16-21, 2020 and can continue to support the wonderful British Virgin Island and our event beneficiaries, who, now more than ever need our help.

As with our lives at home adjusting to the ‘new normal’, this year’s event will also see changes.

Adjustment to the event format as well as health and safety protocols have been devised to protect guests while maintaining that fun, spirited, and relaxed Necker Cup experience we all cherish. At this time, these include:

  • Accommodation for guests will only be available on Necker Island itself, limiting the number of guests to approximately 50 people.
  • A new tennis format designed to limit the Pro-Am to a maximum of 12 teams with 4 ATP/WTA Pros or Legends.
  • All guests will be required to be tested for Covid-19 before arrival, prior to being welcomed onto Necker Island, and during the event itself.
  • Rigorous cleaning and sanitization protocols of Necker Island including rooms, common areas, facilities, and equipment.

Finally, as we look forward to welcoming you to Necker Island, rest assured the Premier Live and Virgin teams will be following evolving best practices around hospitality and event management, continuing to make health and safety our highest priority.

We do hope you will join us for what will be another exciting Necker Cup.

Yours sincerely

The Necker Cup Founders
